Unconfirmed reports indicate Jeffy Yu, founder of the small-cap cryptocurrency project Zerebro, may have taken his own life during a May 4 livestream on Pump.fun. A widely circulated video, yet to be verified, purportedly shows Yu smoking a cigarette before shooting himself.

Prior to his death, Yu published a manifesto introducing ’Legacoins’—a conceptual evolution of memecoins emphasizing permanence and symbolic immortality. He described them as digital assets where developers commit to acquiring and never selling, though the full definition remains incomplete.
